Sports Personality 2012

Preston Lodge High School held their annual Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Thursday 22 March 2012.

The night was held to celebrate the success of our teams and individual sports stars throughout the last academic year.

On the evening we had Gillian Cooke, Word Champion at Bobsleigh. she gave a short speech on her career and answered questions from pupils on her sporting experiences.

As well as this we had Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year for our teams. The winners are as follows:

Rugby S1 Most Improved Player of the Year: Jack Leslie

Hockey Awards

S1 Hockey Most Improved Player of the Year: Jenny Gibson

S1 Hockey Player of the Year: Millie Fleming

S2 Most Improved Player of the Year: Megan Collins

S2 Player of the Year: Shelby Garrity

S3 Most Improved Player of the Year: Kirsty O’Brien

S3 Player of the Year: Abbie Robertson

Girls Football Most Improved Player of the Year: Lauren Donaldson

S2 Most Improved Player of the Year: Gary Bruce

S2 Player of the Year: Liam Currie

U-16s Most Improved Player of the Year: Robbie Menzies

U-16s Player of the Year: Liam Henderson

Senior Player of the Year: Ben Stewart
