London 2012 Olympics

Preston Lodge High School attended the London 2012 Olympic Games with the four Young Ambassadors Jamie Halvorson, Shona Bell, Jennifer Currie and Cameron Simpson as well as Mr Orr and Mr Bennion.

The school recieved tickets due to the hardwork that the Young Ambassadors have been doing over the past two years, with presentations, Olympic days and promotions of Olympic values.

On the trip the group seen all the sights of London in the first two days as well as visiting some of the Olympic venues which were in the City Centre.

On the Friday of the trip the group had tickets for the mens hockey match which incuded Germany v India and Team GB v Pakistan in the Olympic Park.

This was an incredible experience for all involved especially with Team GB winning their hockey match.

After this the groups was in the park while Chris Hoy won his Olympic medal to become the greatest ever British Olympian.

There will be pictures added as well as a report from the pupils that attended the Olympic Games. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and hopefully we can bring the success of the Olympic games and help Preston Lodge Sports Team push on.
