Preston Lodge –  Enhanced Learning Provision caters for small groups of pupils with special educational needs.

It operates a three tier structure :

• immersion in the mainstream with peers
• discreet group teaching in subject classrooms with subject specialists and higher staff:pupil ratios
• Learning Zone based classes

Pupils enjoy a timetable that allows them to mix happily with their peer group in practical classes such as Art, PE, Music, Home Economics and RME.

They then go to Science, ICT and Social Studies in small discreet groups for a differentiated curriculum with a subject specialist teacher.

Meanwhile, Maths, English and French are taught, also in small groups, in the quiet atmosphere of the Learning Zone with Learning Support teachers.
