BBC LEARNING SCOTLAND wants your ideas for a short film. A story about your local landscape.
And if your idea is selected you’ll win a development workshop for your school as well as a BBC director and crew to film your story. Cool eh?
It doesn’t matter if your landscape story is historical or modern, pure geography or a bit social-political we want to hear from you!
And the process couldn’t be simpler.
First pick your story.
Then work out what everyone needs to see and the order in which you want them to see it.
Finally, in no more than 300 words, write up your brilliant idea on our entry form and have your school email it to us.
More information and entry form on the website: BBC Learning
From the end of March the existing pupil e-mail system provided by Edukit will be closed.
If you have any important e-mail or information stored on the site www.prestonlodge.e-lothian.sch.uk you must remove or you will lose it!
During the next few days we will be registering all pupils with a new system for pupil e-mail. The new system is hosted by Google and works just like a Google Mail account, it is called eduBuzz.org.
username@www.edubuzz.org (e.g. “pl02blogj@www.edubuzz.org”)
Your username is the same as your Network log-in username.
This is the same as your Network password, but you must change this when you log-in.

Get doodling for fun and charity.
Next week pupils in the Art Department will have the chance to make their contribution to the Doodling world. You don’t have to be an artist to enjoy doodling, if you don’t go to the Art department you can still be involved, just get doodling.
National Doodle Day is about having fun while raising funds to help people whose lives are affected by epilepsy and neurofibromatosis. Since the very first National Doodle Day in 2004 over £120,000 has been raised to help support the work of two charities, Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association.
This money has been raised by schools, by companies and individuals who have put pen to paper and simply doodled!
See some examples of doodles submitted by Celebrities and the National Doodle Day winners from last year. Click the links below.
We will make a collection for the charities on Doodle Day (Fri 27th) – bring along a pound.
