Activities Week 2013 will be launched in assemblies this week. From Friday 12th April to Friday 26th April you will be able to make your Activity Options online, a link will be posted on the school website. Everyone must complete the online form.
You will need your edubuzz email and password to log on. If you do not know it please see Mr Stewart or Mr Lanyon.
Following the success of our trip to South West USA in February this year we are looking to make a return visit in October 2013. This trip is open to those who will be in S3 – S5 from August 2012. Letters can be collected from Mr Lanyon.
All current S3 students will be given the opportunity to go out on Work Experience next September. Gr1, Go1 and Se1 will be on placement the week beginning 17th Sept and all other classes will be on placement week beginning 24th Sept. Over the next two months S3 students will be encouraged by their Guidance Teacher to find a placement themselves – the deadline for submission of this ‘self found placement’ is Friday 22nd June. This deadline cannot be extended for any circumstance and self found placement forms will not be accepted after this date.
A self found placement will allow the student to work in an environment of their choosing and ensure that a placement is attained. Self – found placement forms will be issued through Social Education lessons at the beginning of May and must be completed and handed back by 22nd June.
Activities Week 2012 takes place during the last week of the summer term 25th-29th June. Pupils have been given a list of activities to choose from that they will participate in on the Monday to Thursday. On the Friday we will be holding a whole school event and barbque.
Pupils must return their activity choices form to their register teacher or school office by Wednesday 28th March. Please ensure the PC1 is also completed.
If pupils require more information about any of the activities on offer they should speak to the member of staff responsible for it.

House points will be allocated to the first three register classes in each year group to have a 100% return of forms.
This is the last call for those wanting to sign up for Adventure Camp 2012 which is open to all pupils currently in S1 – S6. This year it will be held at the Lochgoilhead Centre, Lochgoilhead, Argyll. With a full activity program including, sailing, kayaking, climbing, gorge running, archery, abseiling, jacobs ladder plus many more its one not to miss. Staying in dorms & lodges. The approximate cost is £200 which includes transport, food, activities, a personal chef, dish washer and a commemorative t-shirt. Letters can be collected from Mr Lanyon, Ms Douglas or Ms Young. The closing date for the return of deposits is Friday 18th November.

Please find below the times of the vaccines for Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio. They will take place on Wed 12th January in the hall. Please make sure that pupils are allowed to come at the correct times as this has an inpact on the nursing staff.
