School photos are taking place on Monday 5th November. Full school uniform should be worn. The timings for the photos are listed below:
S6 group photo with SMT will be taken at 12.30pm SHARP.
12.50pm Senior Team and House Captains.
Students who intend on leaving school in 2018 (June or December) should attend this event to help plan their destination and/or back up plans B and C.
£4 is required to cover the cost of transport plus a completed consent form. Please return this to Mrs Wilson or Miss Patterson in the guidance office to secure a place.

All S5 or S6 students intending or considering University should attend this event.
It is being run on the Wednesday afternoon to minimise disruption as students will only need to miss one academic lesson.
The cost will be £4.00 per student to cover the cost of the coach there and back.
There are only 66 places available strictly on a first come first served basis.
Consent form and £4.00 must be handed in to Mrs Wilson in the guidance office to secure a place. (See below)
Once all places have been allocated and a place confirmed Miss Patterson will arrange for those going on the trip to register for a ticket with her during SE at the start of next term.
The new S6 students will be fitted for their blazers on Tuesday 14 June. Could classes please come down to the common room promptly at the timings listed below. If you are not going to be in school on Tuesday for any reason, please come and see the office. Thanks

S@S Accelerate offer two summer programmes, which are held at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, for pupils at the end of S4, S5 and thinking about going to University. It aims to provide a targeted focus on the pupils’ chosen area of academic interest, giving them a head start on the road to their chosen career.
In 2016, there are ten areas pupils can choose from, depending on their career aspirations:
S@S Accelerate 1 (Monday 20th – Friday 24th June 2016)
- Mini Space Academy (Electronic & Electrical Engineering)
- Product Design
S@S Accelerate 2 (Monday 25th – Friday 29th July 2016)
The cost of S@S Accelerate is £125 and the programme it is non-residential.

Consent packs for vaccinations from NHS Lothian were distributed to pupils in S3 to S6 on Tuesday 1 December.
Every year, pupils in S3 are offered the Teenage booster to complete their life long protection, through routine immunisations, against tetanus, diphtheria and polio.
In addition this year all S3 – S6 pupils are recommended a meningitis vaccine (ACWY). This is to protect against the W strain of meningitis which is on the increase across the UK.

Are you interested in experiencing first-hand the setting up and running of your own company in school over the course of the year? It is your company – you elect the Board of Directors from amongst the members, raise share capital and market and finance a product or service of your own choice, in doing so learning about all aspects of business such as market research, finance, sales, production or service provision, customer service and HR as well as enhancing your CV and your personal statement.
Young Enterprise is open to all S6’s regardless of whether you have studied Business Management.
