Are you interested in experiencing first-hand the setting up and running of your own company in school over the course of the year? It is your company – you elect the Board of Directors from amongst the members, raise share capital and market and finance a product or service of your own choice, in doing so learning about all aspects of business such as market research, finance, sales, production or service provision, customer service and HR as well as enhancing your CV and your personal statement.
Young Enterprise is open to all S6’s regardless of whether you have studied Business Management.

For any student who is sitting an exam in the next few weeks, exam timetables will be distributed by your register teacher on Wednesday 23 April. Please check this carefully to ensure that all exams you are sitting are mentioned and that your address is your current one as this is where your SQA certificate will be sent. Any problems please see Mrs Smith in the office as soon as possible.
Any senior phase student (S4-6) who is leaving school after the exams must complete a leavers form – this includes all S6 students.
These forms can be obtained from the school office. They should be completed at the end or towards the end of your exams and handed back into the office.
The Senior Phase Prelim Timetable has been revised to. The only changes to the printed version are on Monday 27th Jan (English: Higher & National 5) – the timings of these exams has been modified. Please update your own version from here.

The My Place Photography Competition is a built environment photographic project run by the Scottish Civic Trust for primary and secondary school-aged children throughout Scotland. It aims to provide young people with the opportunity to express their thoughts, experiences and perspectives on the heritage, buildings and archaeology around them.
All entries will be placed in an online gallery, displayed in a public exhibition and recognised with a certificate.
Two winners will be selected by a panel of judges and these will go on to represent Scotland in a worldwide exhibition and catalogue.

Mrs Allan would like to see all S6 PL Challenge helpers on Tuesday 29th October at 3pm in Lab 9 to discuss the details of the quiz event that you will be leading with your class the following week. Those students making up the questions must bring these along to this meeting.
All S6 students applying to university should have passed their 1st draft of the personal statements to their Guidance teacher.
This must be done by Tuesday 29th October at the latest.
The Skills Scotland event is aimed at students planning to go into employment, training, apprenticeships or to college when they leave school.
We would expect any S5 and 6 students with plans to do so or to use any of these as a back-up to university to attend. S4 students who are planning to leave or might leave in the summer should also attend.
The cost will be £5.00 per trip to cover the cost of the coaches.

Pupils must be registered for the event and will be responsible for their own travel to and from the event.

There are 7 places left on the Higher Education convention visit this coming Monday.
If you get your consent form and £5 to Mrs Wilson in the guidance office today (Thursday) you can still book one of these places.
The list will close at the end of school today whether or not these places are taken up to allow time for the necessary admin.
