SCHOOL REAR CAR PARK

The Transportation Department of East Lothian Council during recent checks of school transport contracts have noticed an increase in the amount of pedestrians using the school transport drop off/pick point/turning circle as a short cut and walking through the transport. There has also been an increase in parents bringing their own private cars into the area and weaving through the vehicles and pupils.

Could parents and non school transport users, please stay away from these areas 15 minutes before the bell and 15 minutes after to reduce the risk of a possible fatal accident. Thanks for your assistance.

P6/7 Open Evening – Thursday 14 November

The end of your child’s time at primary school is fast approaching and you and your child will be looking forward to the move to secondary school.  To help in your preparation for the change, Preston Lodge High School would like to invite you to an Open Evening at 6.45pm on Thursday 14th November.

During the course of the evening you will see how Preston Lodge provides the Broad General Education and the variety of experiences we can offer.  In addition, you will hear about the kind of support in place at Preston Lodge High Schoolto ease your child’s transition and support them throughout their secondary education.

The evening will involve a tour of the school, visiting departments, seeing students in action and having the opportunity to talk to teachers about what your child can expect in subject departments.

We are very proud of the work we do at Preston Lodge High School and hope that you will be able to attend the evening. Your child of course is also welcome to attend.

If you wish to come along please email admin@prestonlodge.elcschool.org.uk or contact the school office on 01875 811170.  If your child attends one of our cluster primary schools you will have received a letter inviting you to this event.
