Marwan Chouh and James Burnett are heading out to Burundi, Central Africa, in the Summer of 2011.
They will be travelling with Mission International for 3 weeks. In Burundi they will be working with the Hope Centre Orphanage, and they intend to take medical and educational supplies but also to provide a cash lump sum to support the projects in the orphanage.
Please support this fantastic cause. Tickets are on sale in the school office on Friday.
The S4 information evening on Tuesday 2nd Sept was well attended and those present were provided with a information about what S4 has in store for the students. The presentations and information booklet are available below.
Louise Grotlin and Taylor McKillop (S5) gave a very useful and interesting perspective as a succesful S4 students.

The latest dance- fitness craze that is sweeping the world … in a class for 11 – 16 year olds.
Where? – Longniddry Dance Studios, Douglas Road (near the tennis courts)
When? – Thursdays 4.00-4.45pm (Starts July 8th)
Cost?-Class is £3 per person but the class on the 8th of July is a free taster.
What do I need? –Wear trainers and clothes that are suitable to exercise in. Bring a drink of water.
Who is taking the class? – Classes will be taken by Fiona who did the Zumba sessions during activities week here in Preston Lodge.
Some of our Italy project work has been displayed in the Lord Mayor’s Bar at the Gothenburg, as part of the Prestoungrange Arts Festival.
Extra In-Service Day: Wednesday 18th August 2010
East Lothian Council have announced the inclusion of an additional In-Service day for Session 2010-11.
This will be on Wednesday 18th August 2010 consequently pupils will now return to school for the first day of the new session on Thursday 19th August.
There will now be a total of 7 In-Service days in Session 2010-11.
