Pupils are encouraged to use Google Classroom as a resource to assist them both in the classroom and at home. Teachers can use Google Classroom to send announcements to entire classes, share resources, course notes, Google Slide/PowerPoints, diagrams, and home study tasks. Pupils can use it to access work covered in class anywhere they have internet access from a PC or mobile device. You can think of Google Classroom as a virtual classroom that allows remote working and allows pupils to manage deadlines and access resources at any time or place.
We would highly encourage pupils to demonstrate the following features of Google Classroom to their parents/carers.
The following documents give a little more information about Google Classroom for pupils, parents and staff.
When pupils are working from home, staff may also give students access to Google Meet. This is a video conferencing tool that allows lessons to be delivered remotely.
