We had a very successful show this year. The children performed in Hansel and Gretel, their longest show to date! They put in so much hard work to make it a memorable performance. Not only did they put on 2 shows for parents they also performed for our senior citizens at the Christmas Cracker Tea. These are the photographs from the show. Enjoy!

Hello, This is Molly, I won the Greggs Pudsey Colouring Competition and today (04.12.13) me, my sister and my mum went to Greggs on the High Street to collect my cake. I was very exited to have won and even more to have got to see Pudsey and to actually see my design on the cake!-Molly
Today we held our Autumn Fair in school and there was something for everyone, from putting to bouncy castle , from tombola to bacon rolls and great raffles ! Our new stall ‘Bottle Blitz’ was very popular as was the tombola stall. A huge thank you to everyone involved : helping out, donating items for the stalls, home baking, raffle prizes and of course to all who came and spent their money to raise funds for our school.
Congratulations to everyone, we raised an amazing £1,611.99!

On a Wednesday afternoon pupils opt into their choice of activity. The activities are wide ranging from Basketball to Drama to Gardening to Card Making! One activity is mosaic making. At the moment the group are working on a tile with their own individual design on it. They are using broken tiles, beads and other materials to create their masterpiece.
These are just a few of the tiles so far. Look out for the finished products soon.

This morning we had a year group meeting to celebrate success in Accelerated Reading. In P5RD Lucy swept the board collecting all four awards! In P5H Adon, Taylor, Ami and Kyle collected one award each.
We also run a competition to see which class has read the most words and this term 5H won ,having read a total of 1,548,897 words.
The exhibition will be open next week from 3.30-4.00pm from Tuesday 17th -Thursday 19th September. It is a fantastic opportunity to view the wonderful work all the children have produced to celebrate 40 years of our school.
There are some amazing old school photographs-you may even be in them!
Look forward to seeing you there!
While we were at Dalguise, we decided to plant a tree in memory of Louis who accompanied us to camp for many years. He loved going to camp and encouraged the children to achieve their full potential. Just before tea we gathered in the garden beside the main house to plant a tree. Mrs Parkin said a few words and we sang a quiet camp song and remembered the contribution Louis made to school camp. We missed his company throughout the week. This year one pupil will be awarded ‘The Louis Isbrand Award’ for perseverance and determination whilst at camp.It will be presented at our camp assembly next week.
We all arrived home safely this morning with lots of amazing experiences to share and lots of dirty washing!!! Dalguise staff commented all week about how polite our children were in the dining hall and towards the highly trained instructors so well done to you all. Huge thanks to all the staff who gave up their time to go to camp with our P7 pupils.
