N5 Graphic Communication

In the National 5 Graphic Communication course the two biggest skills pupils require are CAD and DTP.

CAD (Computer Aided Design)

At Ross High we use Autodesk Inventor for creating 3D models to produce a range of drawings and pictorial images from. Pupils are able to download a free student copy of Inventor from Autodesk to use at home to practice their skills.

DTP (Desktop Publishing)

DTP is where you creatively use the computers to design publications/posters/packaging. We use a range of packages to accomplish this including using the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Publisher.

Knowledge and Understanding

Pupils’ Google classroom account will be kept up to date with relevant information and handouts for pupils. Some key documents can be found here.
