Happy International Woman’s day!

Today commemorates the movement for woman’s right and is all about celebrating the achievements of woman past, present and future. Try to take a moment today to think of one strong female you know, this could be anyone from the suffragists who helped woman win the right to vote to your mum!

House Competitions

To everyone who has achieved something outside of school this year. Now is the time to let us know.  House points are available to all years and can really make the difference between Fa’side running away with it and a really close competition.

Have a think about what you have achieved since summer. Have you won a sports competition?  Passed a music exam?  Organised an event?  Volunteered for charity?

All of these and more are worth house points and worth celebrating.

The house captains will be coming round reg classes to deliver and collect House Point Referral Forms over the next few weeks.

Young Decision Makers / Leaders Needed

Interested in sport & Physical Activity? Want to be involved at the heart of decisions affecting young people? Aged 12 to 18?  Both the Ross High Rugby Club and Tranent & District Sports Hub are looking to recruit young people to join their management teams.  Learn new skills, gain experience and network.

Interested, go and speak to Mark Urwin, in the Active Schools Office in the PE Dept. Mark Urwin
