Farewell to our Leavers

Today the pupils and staff said farewell to Mrs Van Barneveld at assembly.  We presented her with a bouquet of flowers and cards made by the children.  She would like to extend her thanks for all the wonderful she has spent at Saltoun.

Tomorrow we will say to goodbye to our Primary Seven pupils.  They will lead an assembly sharing their thoughts and memories of their time here at Saltoun.  We will them lots of luck and success in their future!

Exciting East Links Farm Park!

Yesterday we had a great time at East Links Farm Park!  It was a fun packed day.  We went on the train, go-karts, through the maze, fed the animals, into the soft play area, bounced on the jelly belly and climbed the hay stacks!  There was only a short shower of rain and it did not stop us from having a fabulous day.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

On Monday our new P1 pupils had a Teddy Bear Picnic with us.  We played lots of games, there was singing and dancing and of course, there was some picnic food.  P1/2/3 had great fun organising this event.  We look forward to welcoming our new P1 pupils after the summer!

Our Trip to the Fire and Police Station

Today we had a fantastic trip to Haddington Fire Station.  We met Firefighter Dave, Gary and Jim.  They spoke to us about fire safety in the house and then they showed us around the station.  We also got to look at the fire engine and squirt water from the hose.  Even the adults had fun!

We also visited the Police Station.  We had our finger prints taken, looked inside a police cell and had great fun sitting in the police van.  We made the siren and the flashing lights work!
