Yesterday Holly and Charlie won the final of the Little and Large cookery competition. They made vegetable kebabs with rice and a fruit flan. Well done girls for working well as a team and bringing the trophy back to Saltoun!

First Club Golf

This morning p4/5/6/7 enjoyed a round of golf. We had a visit from a local professional, Kate Green, who helped us set up a course. Everyone did very well and our joint winners with 3 over par for the round were Steven, Robert and Katie. Next time we play we are going to design our own holes complete with water and sand hazards.

Choices for Life

Yesterday P6/7 went to the Royal Highland Centre to attend the Choices for Life event. It was a great day where we were entertained by Karen Danzig, The Macdonald Brothers (Miss Browns favourite!), Keith Jack and Sugar Crisis. There were also lots of videos and a Choices for Life family fortune game. Although we had fun we also learned lots and will hopefully make wise choices in the future!

Waiting for the event to begin!

    Having a Dance!

P1/2 Library

The P1/2 library on a Friday morning is very successful.  Pupils enjoy going to choose their books with the librarians and are always keen to show the teacher the book they have picked.  Lets keep it going!  Remember you must return your book before you can have another one.

Netball Win!

Congratulations to the pupils who attended the Netball Tournament today at Sandersons Wynd.  We won our league and went on to play in the final against Law Primary!  Well done to all the pupils – it was a great success!  Thank you also to the pupils who came along to support us.

Future Animator!

Finlay has been busy making animations. Wesley, his teddy, is becoming very famous. Well done Finlay!

Choices for Life

Primary 6 and 7 are going to Ingliston next Wednesday to take part in the Choices for Life event.  Saltoun Primary attends this event every second year and previous pupils have spoken highly of the learning experiences it has brought.  Have fun!

New Primary 1 Parent Meeting

On Wednesday 20th May, we would like to host a welcome meeting for the parents of those children starting Primary One in August.

If you would like to come along, there will be a short talk from Miss Leslie and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the routines of the class and school.

We hope to see you there!
