Saltoun Tea Party

At Saltoun primary the pupils got an award for getting all there sticker in the dinner hall for healthy eating. For their reward they had a tea party, with the teachers serving. At the tea party the first issue of The Daily Saltoun went on sale. You can buy the newspaper at the Snack Shack on Thursdays for 30p.

Pupils who get ‘The Star of the Week’ will be lucky enough to have a tea party with Mrs Birrell to celebrate their achievement.

P7 Transition Event

On Friday the 15th the we went to Pencaitland Primary to meet the p7s there. First we were given a tour around the school. Then we played guitar hero and designed our own guitars. We will be going every second Friday until the end of term.

Snack Shack Success!

Thank you to everyone who came along to use the Snack Shack on Thursday.  It was very busy and the staff worked hard to make sure everyone was served.  We hope that you will use the Shack regularly.  If there is a healthy snack that you would like to see stocked, please just let us know!

Our Topics This Term

The P1/2 topic is Space and P3/4/5/6/7  is the Romans. The P1/2’s classroom has been turned into a new planet! The P3/4/5/6/7’s classroom has lots of Roman artefacts. Everybody will enjoy learning about their new topics. We will keep you updated with  photograghs.

Burns Celebration

We are organising a Saltoun community Burns Celebration on Wednesday 27th January in the Village Hall.  Tickets are available from the school office.  If you would like to volunteer to take part with singing, dancing or a poetry recital, please let Mrs Birrell know.  We would love to see as many of the residents there as possible!  Please wear tartan if you can.
