Camp Update 2

Arrived at camp to see lots of smiley, dirty faces.  Enjoying a big cooked lunch.  Lots of children choosing veggies and the salad bar too.  Fruit for dessert, water for drinks, healthy eating in action, I believe there is sponge pudding for dessert tonight but hey its all about balance.  My group are making a 7ft tower out of giant mecano then we are off to  the zip wire. Mrs Leslie’s group are at the zip wire then are going to do the nightline.  The girls are being so friendly, no fallings out.  The boys  have had a deodrant and water fight, needless to say these weren’t on the planned programme!  The boys were also asked to tidy their rooms, they promptly moved all their clothes into 1 big pile, at least you could see the carpet again.

Brought some chocolate for Mrs Leslie, a wee treat for the 24/7 job and some nail polish for the girls, a wee night time treat .

Camp is such a good place to see our pupils thrive as they adapt to new contexts and challenges.  They are full of their stories and adventures so far.

Camp Update

Breakfast

After a wee stop over in Jedburgh all arrived safely, they went straight to quad biking.  Scrap heap challenge was the evening activity.  All made their own beds, some with a little encouragement.  The boys awoke at 5.30am to be promptly told to go back to bed!  At 6.30am everyone was up and getting dressed.  The carpet can no longer be seen, clothes are strewn!

Cooked breakfasts all round this morning including spaghetti hoops on toast. Pupils have already visited the camp shop and staff are stocking up on chocolate for energy. It is beautiful dry weather at Kingswood this morning.  More quad biking, archery and climbing, all before lunch, they WILL sleep tonight!
