On Monday 7th November we were delighted to have a visit by two local Paralympic athletes; Mike Kerr, who plays wheelchair rugby and James Clegg, a partially sighted swimmer. They were given a tour of the school and spent some time with the Hub children during their music and movement lesson. Afterwards, in the school library, a selection of pupils from P1-7 met with Mike and James to hear about their experiences as Paralympian athletes. The classes had already discussed what they wanted to find out and children had the opportunity to ask questions about the athletes’ lives and in particular, about their sport and training schedule. After P5T presented them with their thank you cards and SW Eco bags, Mike and James very kindly signed all their Olympic autograph books. Thank you to parent, Mr Fraser for organising this visit.
