World Book Day – Thursday 2nd March
Dear Parent/Carers,
Book Swap
To celebrate World Book Day we are holding a Book Swap on Thursday 2nd March. Pupils are invited to bring in to school any unwanted books from home. Pupils will then have the opportunity to visit the Book Swap stall on Thursday to choose a new book to take home. Please can we ask that books are brought in to school by Monday 27th of February in order to allow teachers time to organise the Book Swap stall.
Stop, Drop and Read
Over the course of the day next Thursday, pupils will be invited to stop what they are doing and take out their book when they hear the ‘Stop, Drop and Read’ sound. Your child may wish to bring in their favourite book from home for this or they may choose to read their library book or AR book.
£1 Book tokens
All pupils will receive a World Book Day book token to bring home next Thursday. These can be redeemed for a free World Book Day book at the following shops:
- Asda
- Morrisons
- Sainsburys
- Tesco
- The Works
- Waterstones
- WHSmith.
