Scarlet Fever – Nursery Children

 

As per our direct communication to parents, We have had 3 confirmed cases of Scarlet Fever in the Nursery. Please be vigilant of symptoms and keep your child off should they have any of the symptoms. The Health Protection Team have provided the school with advice leaflets  (attached )There is also a link to chicken pox so please also be vigilant for symptoms of chicken pox.

Tranent Gala day and active schools team up

We are excited to be working with the Tranent Gala to provide races for all age levels in our schools.  We have 10 spaces available for a short 100m – 400m race depending on age group.  This race will be held on Sunday 5th June from 14:00 – 15:00pm with medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Tranent out of school club.

 

We are lucky enough to have Shirley and her team offer a fantastic provision for parents who may be looking for child care options around the school day as well as in the holidays.

 

The breakfast club

Children are welcomed from 07.30am until school bell rings at 08.50 they are then escorted to their individual classes.

 

The after school club

Pick up is focused in 2 groups primary 1 & primary 2 children are collected from there classroom at 14.50.

Primary 3 through primary 7 are welcomed at 15.20, they are encouraged to come to the club independently.

Children are encouraged to participate in a range of both indoor and outdoor activities until Parents collect them no later than 17.50 Monday through Thursday. On Fridays our times change in line with the schools early finish.  So children are welcomed as above midday for P1&P2 then 12.30 for P3-P7 again until we close at 17.50.

 

Holiday clubs

Shirley and the team are delighted to offer a holiday club. They have 3 types of sessions to book into.

Full day – 08.00-17.50

Morning – 08.00-13.00

Afternoon-13.00-17.50
