School Litter Pick

Pupils and staff took part in a community litter pick.  We collected rubbish from our school ground and our immediate area.  Many classes worked with their buddies and as a school we collected many kilograms of rubbish.

K’nex Cluster Finals

Pupils from Primary 6 attended the K’nex Challenge cluster finals at Windygoul Primary School on Friday 25th of Feb.  Four Primary 6s went along to represent the school, Kalib and Alex were a team as were Liam and Jack.  The event was organised by Jim Scott, we would like to thank him for his help and support.

Our pupils worked very well and the whole school is proud of them.  Congratulations to the pupils from Windygoul who went through to the next stage of the competition.

P7 Blog

Primary 7 have started writing a blog.  The pupils have been deciding what to post and how to share their learning.  So far they have blogged about our WW2 topic, buddying and French.

All of the posts have been written by the pupils and they have also chosen the examples from their jotters to show what we have been doing in class.

The link to their site is at the side of this page, we hope that we will get lots of comments!

Name our magazine!

We need your help to name our magazine! P6 and 7 have launch a competition to name our e magazine.  Anyone can enter and we need you to write your entries down and  put them in the  suggestion boxes around the school or hand them into Miss Dunn  in p7c.

The closing date is Friday 11th March.

Good Luck!

Knights Pledge

Over the past few days Primary 7 have been training to become Knights we have worked very hard in tasks to become a full knight and hopefully tomorrow we will be knighted but sadly not by Princess Anne!!

P7’s armoury

Over the past week  Primary 7 have been working on the school’s castle project. We have had fun turning our classroom into a castle armoury. We have made lots of weapons using recycled materials. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN !

Dirleton Castle is Back!

P7 went to Direlton Castle on Tuesday to investigate whether or not it had returned.  In the morning before we left we received a scroll from the Keeper of the Keys.  The Keeper asked us to bring back evidence of our visit to show that we had really been to the castle and we had not just read about it in the guide book.

We discovered that Dirleton castle had returned and we spent the morning exploring and finding out as much insider information as we could to prove to the Keeper of the Keys that we really had been there.

P6/7

Here are some idea for things to do at home while we are all off school because of the snow.

You can continue with your times table squares and play some of the maths games on

Instead of your Space log you could write a Snow log.  Tell us how the snow has affected your life and what sort of things you have been doing.  Some drawings or pictures would be good too.

Also have a look at the websites posted for P7 and the Space activities.
