This week we have learned about the Egyptians and hieroglyphics.
Here are some facts for you:
The river Nile is the longest river in the world.
They had LOTS of Gods.
They write with hieroglyphs.
Egypt’s temples were for kings and royal people to be buried.
Egypt receives little rainfall.
In maths we have been estimating the answer with adding and subtracting sums and have been learning about rounding.
In writing we have had good fun writing stories about time travel as we are reading ‘The Accidental Time Traveller’.
We have also started PowerPoint presentations researching parts of the Egypt topic we find most interesting.
Well done to our star this week, Mitchell!
