Posts about our Storyline will be moved (gradually!) in to this area to make it easier to access them all in one place.

We have sold 76 copies of our e-book as of yesterday! Thank you to everyone who has supported our project so far!
We are learning about the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child as a whole school project and P2P are exploring Article 27, which says that children have the right to a safe place to live, as well as food and water. After learning that some children in the world don’t have safe places to live or clean water to drink, P2P pupils voted in class to donate profits from their e-book to Save the Children.
We have invited a representative from Save the Children to come to speak to us about their work, so that we can better understand how our donation will help children. Please check back here in the coming weeks to see how our fund-raising is progressing.
You can see our e-book, Jack and the Giant here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004NNVWIE/ref=s9_simh_gw_p351_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=0SEBN6B907BEPAF50SHT&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128473&pf_rd_i=468294
As of today we have sold 121 copies of our e-book, Jack and the Giant! We have also raised more than £50 for a very worthy charity, Save the Children. Equally as important, as a result of this very positive experience, when planning for our next topic (Space) pupils in 2P have suggested that they produce their own books full of alien stories!
We will be finishing our fund-raiser this term with a talk from a Save the Children volunteer and I will post photos along with the final sum that we raise. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have left kind comments on the blog and/or contacted me since we published our e-book. The response from the local community and indeed the world beyond through the internet has been a huge boost the young writers in my class. You never know what will grow once a tiny seed a sown.
