Winter Birds

Over the next few weeks we are learning about birds in winter. The children have been using binoculars to look for birds in the nursery garden.

We will be thinking about how birds get food in the winter, how birds keep warm and learning body parts of a bird and what they are called.

Look at our bird area ready for the children to explore 🐦

Let us know which birds you spot at home.

Happy New Year

Welcome back to all of our families. We hope you all had a great time over the festive period. The children were excited to tell us all about their Christmas holidays today and we look forward to welcoming our Monkey and Elephant groups back on Friday. Over the next few weeks we have some new children starting with us. The children are excited about new friends starting nursery with us.

Thankyou ❀

A huge thank for the kind donations for Florabank Care home. We made up a beautiful hamper filled with lots of goodies and dropped it off this evening. Thankyou for all your kindness this festive season and always. Merry Christmas from all the staff at St Mary’s nursery and see you all in 2022 πŸŽ…

Gym Time

We have had great fun visiting the gym hall the last few Fridays. Last week the children were learning about stretching, warm ups, heartbeats and cool downs. We also thought about different ways to travel around the gym hall. We tried walking, running, skipping, hopping, jumping and galloping. To finish our session we played a game called “Santa Santa Snowman”
