Christmas Dates for your Diary

We’re busy getting ready for Christmas in the nursery. The children have been enjoying lots of Christmas crafts and activities and we are doing well at learning our Christmas songs. Here are some dates for your diary.

Tuesday 13th December – Hilton Lodge Nursing home

The afternoon pre-school children will be accompanying the Primary 6/7 pupils to sing their carols to the residents of Hilton Lodge.

Thursday 15th December – Florabank Nursing Home

The morning children will be visiting the nursing home to sing our songs for the residents. We need three parent helpers for this visit. If you are able to help, please speak to a member of staff.

Tuesday 20th December – Visit to West Church

Each year we visit one of the churches in Haddington at Christmas time. This year we will be going to West Church to listen to a story and to sing Christmas songs. The morning children will be visiting at 10am and the afternoon children at 2pm. We need three parent helpers for each visit. Again, please see a member of staff if you are able to help.

Wednesday 21st December – Christmas singsong

You are invited to our short Christmas singsong. The children are busy practising their songs and are looking forward to their performance. The morning children will be singing at 11.15am and the afternoon children at 2.30pm. Please could the children wear something Christmasy e.g. baubles, tinsel, or you could get creative! There will be mince pies and a wee drink available.

Thursday 22nd December – Christmas Parties

We’re donning our glad rags and getting ready to P.A.R.T.Y! Our Christmas parties will be held at St Mary’s RC Church hall, on Poldrate. Please bring the children direct to the church hall and collect them from there when the party finishes. The morning party will be 9.30 – 11am and the afternoon 1 – 2.30pm.

Our party day is our last day of term and we resume on Tuesday 10th January.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

  1. Very busy children!
Ruby’s been telling me all about Florabank Nursing home:) really excited to hear the carol singing on Wednesday.

  2. A BIG thank You to everyone for coming to hear our Christmas songs today, the children worked so hard learning the songs and we thought they did a fantastic job. We would like to appologise for the lack of space for spectators – the great turn out meant we were more pressed for space than we thought we would be.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the staff in the nursery.
