Following Directions

In Numeracy and Mathematics this week, we have been learning about following and recording directions.
We played a game on the IWB where we had to face the angle, eg eg 45 degrees = North East. The children were all really good at it!
We then played a game with our partners, to take it in turns to give directions for the others to follow on their grids.
Here is one we played on the Interactive Whiteboard, (one of the soldiers had to be given instruction to reach the other one, to ask him if he’d like a game of football, while avoiding all the obstacles!)

The children were fascinated to learn they had been doing something called logo, (which is simple computer programming!)
