A’s Nana comes to talk to us about her experiences during the war

We were very lucky this week to have A’s Nana come to talk to the class about her memories of what is was like living during the war.
A. explains some of the things her Nana shared with us:
When my Nana came to school she taught us more about World War 2. She told us that the gas masks were sore to wear.
She said that her Dad was very small and that when planes were flying overhead they didn’t see him!
My Nana remembers getting a sweetie from a large jar each time she came out of the Anderson shelter.
When the war was over, she remembers everyone dancing on Princes Street in Edinburgh!
