In recent weeks, P5/6 have been working with Active Schools Development Officers to improve their rugby skills and take part in a local rugby tournament, keep reading to find out more.
For the last number of weeks, P5/6 have been taking part in rugby training on Tuesday afternoons under the watchful eyes of New Zealand-born Tom Johnson. This was backed up during school PE times where the pupils of P5/6 continued to use their new rugby skills and improve them by taking part in fun activities and mini games.
All of this hard work led to a cluster rugby competition at Neilson Park, primarily between Kings Meadow and St. Marys. Boys and girls were split and then divided into teams of 7. All pupils were able to enjoy a few games of tag rugby before a light snack and then more skills games and tackling bags! It was a busy but very enjoyable experience for all involved. Check out some quick snaps below.
Well done P5/6!
