Check out some pictures of pupils getting their Good News certificates for their hard work and helpful nature in class..
As part of St. Mary’s positive ethos, we strive to create a hardworking and respectful school where pupils can be acknowledged for their dedication to their learning and to helping others. One way that we do this is through a Good News Assembly where 4 pupils from each class are chosen for one of 4 certificates:
- Reading Award
- Maths Superstar
- Writing Award
- Weekly Star
Here are some pictures of this week’s recipients collecting their certificates from Mr. Cowie:
Well done to all of the boys and girls who collected certificates this week:
P1/2 – Findley, Lucia, Sean and Murry
P2/3 – Thomas, Andrew, Lily and Aoife S.
P4/5 – Jamie, Sophie, Jessica and Fraser
P5/6 – Hannah B, Scarlett, Gary and Hannah Mac
P6/7 – Dana, Niamh H, Jenny and Ula
The Good News Assembly was also a chance for our House Captains to feed back to the whole school about the house points collected. Here is a picture of our House Captains (togged out for PE!) presenting to the rest of the school:
The results of the count were as follows:
1st St. Columba’s 267
2nd St. Margaret’s 257
3rd St. Andrew’s 245

Well done to all the boys and girls who managed to earn house points for their houses but a special well done to this month’s winners – St. Columba’s!
