P6/7 Meadowmill Rugby

The P6/7 class successfully took part and represented the school at Meadowmill today, have a look at some of our great photos!

The P6/7 class were an excellent example of the St. Mary’s positive ethos on a wet and windy day at Meadowmill. All the boys and girls have been working on the rules and skills of tag rugby in their weekly PE lessons but finally had a chance to put them into practice!

Well done to the girls who registered a win, a draw and a loss in their three games – they did the school proud! Teachers from other schools commented on their fantastic behaviour and sportsmanship.

The boys put in a magnificent shift, winning three of their four games, including a 9-0 triumph over a school that came up against the boys in their prime! Sadly they did not make it out of the group because the top team won all of their games but it was an amazing showing!

Although we didn’t come back with any trophies, P6/7 truly were the winners today!
