Primary 5/6 are really enjoying learning about the weather and in particular the natural disasters that can occur. We have been learning a lot about them including how they occur and the damage and impact they can have. The children have also handed in some excellent independent learning which we will share and use to teach our peers. Yesterday we had a science afternoon and the children were talking about and displaying all of their knowledge whilst actively creating tornadoes, volcanoes, earthquakes and a tsunami in class. We had great fun and have learned so much.
Here are some pictures from our science afternoon.

Primary 5/6 worked really hard in the lead up to the rugby festival today. I am very pleased with the effort today at the festival and in the sessions. Everyone enjoyed time working on skill based activities and tag rugby games. Unfortunately, the rain appeared and the day was cut short but all the children made the most of the time we had. Again, all of the children represented St Mary’s exceptionally well. You can be very proud of yourselves!
Here are some of the photos of the day.
