As our Primary 7 boys and girls leave St Mary’s for High School, we witnessed a lovely moment outside their classroom, with some of the children from King’s Meadow, where they were signing each other’s tops. Lots of new friendships already in place for High School!
Primary 6/7 worked on a weaving project last year which culminated in an exhibition which is on view at the new John Gray Centre in Haddington. The winning piece was Justine Cowie’s which is on display in the new museum. The class produced a large piece of cloth in class on a tabletop loom. This piece was designed by Crea Campbell and was made over a period of eight weeks. Here are some photos of P6/7 at the opening of the exhibition and the new John Gray Centre in April.

Congratulations to two of our Primary 6 girls who took part in a cookery competition at Knox Academy. They were partnered with an S3 pupil, and together they were to make a pasta dish and a chocolate cake. They did very well and came second. The girls were allowed to bring the dishes they had made back to school and the smell was delicious!!
This week, a group of children from Primary 6 took part in the annual Euroquiz, where teams from all over East Lothian test their knowledge of Europe. The boys and girls from St Mary’s did extremely well, and gained an impressive score. The children mentioned that there was fantastic food laid on after the competition, and they all seemed to make the most of it!!!!
