On the 9th of March, Serena, Sam, Joe, Alex went to the Euro Quiz in Haddington community hall. We had to do a lot of homework to make sure we knew the answers. When we arrived, we saw that lots of school were also taking part, around 12 or 13.
There were four rounds, geography, language, European Union and culture and sport. The first round had 20 questions, we got 16, the next round had 10, we got 5. Then, the European Union had 15 questions and we got 11. The people running it announced the top three teams but we weren’t in it . Then, on the last round, they announced that they would see if there were two winners, then they would compete to go to the finals at the Scottish Parliament. We found out that we were drawing second with Dunbar and there was only one team in first place.
We almost felt scared because we didn’t think we’d get that far,  but Serena said she felt more ecstatic.
We went up to  the front where we had a face off with Dunbar. We won!!!!!!
Then, we were amazed and so, so, SO excited that we were going against the top team. Sadly, there was only one point in it, 7, 6 and we lost, but came 2nd place!!!
