Snow, snow, snow!

On Friday 8th January the whole school took full advantage of the snow here at Stenton and had an Outdoor Learning Morning. We all dressed  as warmly as we could and headed outdoors into the playground for the morning. Joined by parents and S1 pupils from Dunbar Grammar we built snow houses, igloos, snow people and even some furniture out of snow! Everyone had a great time while learning about the properties of snow, nature and teambuilding.

Super Science!

[rockyou 155026776]

The children at Stenton primary have been working as a whole school on their science topic – ELECTRICITY. As part of enhancing and developing their experiences  we worked with the Science department fron DGS so that all the pupils from P1-7 could access all the equipment available, further understand the relevance of their learning and fully explore their topic.

It was a great experience – all the children at Stenton loved visiting the school and working with the teachers there. We hope to do this again with the Science department and perhaps with other departments at DGS as working together across all ages is of the greatest benefit to our children.
