The Pipe Band Needs YOUR Help.

We have two pieces of exciting news for PLHS Pipe Band which need your help.

Here is some information on the Pipe Band:

Firstly the novice band have been nominated for a Trad Music Award, so we need as many votes as humanly possible – by 23rd November – so a quick turn around.

We’re up against two of the grade one adult bands and the North Lanarkshire schools band who are bound to mobilise an army of voters in Lanarkshire.  To vote for the band you need to log in to the survey monkey below, enter your details and then find the question about pipe bands (you don’t have to vote in all the other categories).  The members of the band are really excited about this and we’d love them
to get this recognition, so anything you can do to help would be
fabulous!  Thank you.

The Second thing is that the Band have had an application accepted to be a Co-op community charity this year which means that local co-op members can opt online for 1% of all their spending to be donated to the pipe band over the next year.

Common School Day

F.A.O. Parents/Carers

On 12 June 2018 a paper was presented to Cabinet seeking approval to undertake a feasibility study and consultation on the introduction of a Common Secondary School Day and potential resultant benefits for Primary education. A feasibility consultation document has now been prepared and a feasibility consultation has commenced.

East Lothian Council Education Service would like to hear your views on the feasibility consultation, which will run until Sunday 11 November.

More information can be found, along with an online survey, on the Consultation Hub by following the link below:

Introducing the new SchoolPay System

We have the goal of becoming a cashless school. We would love all of our families to complete online payments to streamline the admin work we do and to make things more efficient.

East Lothian Council have created a very helpful video (below) and you can also pop into school where we can show you how to use the system/allow you to use a device and our internet connection.

Thanks for your assistance with this matter,

Birthday Wishes

We celebrated our 50th birthday in style by having many different events. We were lucky enough to have many special guests at our celebrations.

The video below contains well wishes from some of those guests.
