Primary 5 – Weekly Blog

This week in Primary 5 we have been preparing for the health week assembly next week. We have been learning about the food groups and what is a balanced diet. The food groups are, milk and dairy, bread cereal and potatoes, fatty foods, fruit and veg, and meat and fish. You need some of each of these for a balanced healthy diet. We have made posters in groups explaining advantages and disadvantages of eating each of the food groups. Primary 5 are looking forward to doing our healthy food rap during assembly #spoiler

We are excited about sports day on Monday! We¬†have been preparing for it during P.E. lessons. In Art we have been finishing off our robotic sculptures. We have learning how to convert between grams and kilograms in Maths as well as finding out about negative numbers. We have written instructions for “How to Make a Sail Boat” and talking about reading strategies.
