P6 Weekly Blog

In Maths we have been learning about the link between fractions and decimals. Converting fractions into decimals and decimals into fractions.

We have been learning how to identify facts and opinions in a passage. We can find examples of facts in our books and give opinions about what we think of the story, characters or main events.

In P.E. we have been learning more hockey skills with Mr Campbell and how to do a tennis serve with Miss Borthwick. We completed winter wonderland pictures for the Art competition, we used tracing paper to create ice blocks, charcoal for trees, chalk and newspaper for snow and oil pastels to create a night sky.

We are looking forward to meeting and hosting Alex McCall’s visit to St Martins next week. We have been writing stories based on his book Attack of the Giant Robot Chickens. Alex McCall won the Scottish Children’s book Award.
