Homework Week 8 Term 1
Hello Families,
I hope that you all had a brilliant weekend. Please find the homework below for the week beginning 3/10/16-7/10/16. I have made a couple of changes with the homework to better suit the needs of your child. I have attached a list of word cards to focus on with your child for the week. Starting Wednesday this week your child will have 1:1 time with one of our fantastic learning assistants to test how well your child knows the words, and then the next set will be given. The words that will be highlighted are the words that your child read correctly, but please continue to practice those words with them. If you would like two copies of the words please come and see me so you can play games like memory, snap, go fish or you can just use them as flashcards. Spelling elephants is also starting this week and your child will have 1:1 time with Mrs Pusko to test the spelling. In your child’s homework bag, there will be a grid of spelling practice choices. Please let your child pick what activity they would like to do to complete this week’s spelling. If you have any questions, or any feedback on the homework please come and let me know or write it in your child’s homework book.
Reading:
Please read this text with your child at least 3 times during the week focusing on the sounds, the green and the red words in the story.
Please practice the word cards that are attached with your child. Feel free to play a game with the cards or use them as flashcards.

PS. This week for our topic we are beginning to make our push and pull objects. Children have made their design plan in class last week and are using resources such as cardboard boxes, milk bottles, bottle lids, string, wool, magazines etc. If you could please donate some of these resources for Wednesday’s lesson that would be greatly appreciated!
