Primary 3’s Week

Hello all,

We have had a brilliant week this week with lots of learning and excitement! Today we drew a picture on our mini-whiteboards about our favourite part of the week. We then shared these to the class. Here is what we had to say:

Steven and Nathan liked their accelerated reader test because they got 100%

Mark, Olly, Jayinn, Archie, Zed, Keeley, Daniella, Logan K, Rory, Jaime, Sol and Corinne liked doing their mini-beast research on the laptops about their mini-beasts habitats and what they eat. We have almost finished making these into PowerPoints.

Sophie Mc and Lucia liked our measurement activities this week where we went on a centimetre hunt in the classroom.

Sophia and Emily liked painting our lolly pop sticks which we are painting ready for our Christmas Fayre on the 10th of December

Eve liked it on Wednesday when Mrs Carlyle, Miss Alongi, Mr Dickson, Mrs Johnson and Miss Gladman got their very own Santa Cams all the way from the North Pole!

Daniella liked making our get well cards for Logan M

And Sophie M has been enjoying our Nativity Practices

Everyone in Primary 3 hopes that you have a great and very restful weekend 🙂

Primary 3

Hello to our families and friends,

This week is Primary 3 we have had brilliant week of learning. On our Big Writing adventure we have explored Antarctica and some of the animals that live there. We have been learning about Killer Whales and wrote some amazing stories about seeing Killer Whales when we were on our boat to Antarctica.

In Maths we have been learning about measurement. We have been learning how to measure ourselves, our feet and different objects around the classroom. Next week we are going to begin to look at metres.

For topic we have continued our mini-beast research. We have been learning so many great facts about our chosen mini-beasts, and we are hoping to have our PowerPoint’s with all our information finished next week.

We had our first Reconciliation lesson on Wednesday, where we learnt about John the Baptist baptising Jesus. We are starting our Sacrament of Reconciliation this Sunday by completing the Rite of the Signing of the Cross.

Thank you for reading all about our week!

Our Great Week in Primary 3

This week in Primary 3 we have been super busy.

For our Big Writing Jayinn really enjoyed writing and learning about Alan’s journey to Antarctica. We learnt that Alan had to catch two planes and one ship to get there.

In Maths this week we have been learning about place value and have been getting lots of practice using Dean’s Blocks.

During ICT we have been learning how to make a PowerPoint and adding images. We have been learning this to help us with our Mini-Beast presentation that we are going to make for Topic. This was Keeley, Eve, Logan M, Megan and Jamie’s favourite part of the week.

Topic this week has been about exploring different Mini-Beast and learning how to write an information report. Yesterday we watched a great video about butterflies. Using all the information we gained we wrote our very first Primary 3 Information Report. After this we went outside to gather some Autumn leaves to make butterflies pictures. On the leaves Lucia, Logan K, Maci and Megan  found so many mini-beasts as well as some leaves that mini-beasts had eaten. It was very exciting!

Next week we will be busy getting started on our Nativity practice and also preparing for our first Reconciliation Mass that is on Sunday 20th.

We hope that you have a great weekend!
