HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM P4 AND MISS O’CONNELL!!!!
On Monday we did Scottish Dancing with Miss Borthwick. Aiden was surprised it was actually cool! Heidi thought it was fun. Annfell had to do a demonstration. Lucas thinks Hannah is a good dance partner 🙂
On Tuesday we had Christmas dinner. Lucis thought it was AWESOME! We also had French with Mrs Johnson and we learned about the weather.
On Wednesday we went to see the ‘Rise of the Guardians’ at the Fraser Centre. Anna thought it was a bit scary. Logan thought Bailey was very kind sharing his popcorn. Lucas thought it was super!
We also made our Christmas Stories into books. Come and check out our books!
On Thursday we baked fairy cakes and Andrew thought they were amazing. We decorated the cakes with icing, candy canes, marshmallows and chocolate stars. Jack really wanted to eat it as soon as it was ready!

On Monday at P.E it was our last lesson of tennis and it was lots of fun. Miss O’Connell came to music class to hear us sing our Christmas carols.
On Tuesday we went to assembly and we have a new target – ‘Be quiet in the corridors’.
On Wednesday we started writing our Christmas books. We wrote a story and we are going to make it into a book for a younger child. Our star writers were … HOPE and OWEN!
On Thursday we went carol singing in Crookston Care Home. It was really fun! We made pictures and talked to some of the old people after we sang. We made a friend called Jimmy!
Today we put up our Christmas decorations in the class!!
We have had a very good week in primary 4.
On Monday for our homework we were given a project to do on the Romans. We will present them to the class next week.
On Tuesday we had Hymn Practise and we have another competition to design a logo.
On Thursday we did our ‘Winter Wonderland’ painting for Mrs. McDonalds competition. The winners from the class were Eevayne, Abbie and Owen. Come back next to see Mrs McDonalds winner!
We wrote imaginative stories about travelling in time to Ancient Rome. The star writers this week were … OWEN and AIDEN!!
We have packed 7 boxes for children in Africa for Christmas!
We have had lots of achievements for spelling elephants.
Today we had MAT chat and our MATs are going home!
On Monday we went to music with Mrs Mailer and we learned a Roman song… ‘Eat like a Roman!!’ Heidi thought P.E was really fun with tennis rackets passing to a partner.
On Tuesday we all got a swimming certificate at assembly for doing so well with our swimming lessons. Lauren felt nervous standing in front of the school. Jack felt awesome! Joe and Finlay were the first in the class to get the Gold elephant certificate.
On Wednesday everybody went to church. It was a special mass for us because it was St. Martins feast day. We celebrated St. Martin. It was the first time we were all together at mass.
On Thursday we wrote imaginative stories. This time it was a Superhero story! Our star writers were… ANNA and ANNFELL!!

On Monday we did some spooky songs for Halloween with Mrs. Mailer.
On Tuesday we were told about Mrs McDonalds painting competition. Jack got the Head Teachers medal and Finlay C got the class teacher certificate.
On Wednesday we used our imagination to write an imaginative story. We are getting very good at using paragraphs. Our star writers this week were… Andrew and Mark.
On Thursday at swimming we got to play and have lots of fun because it was the last week. We got to play on big giant floats and have fun.
We did fireworks pictures with oil pastels!

On Monday in music we did Halloween songs in groups and Heidi thought it was really fun. In P.E we moved onto netball games with Mrs. Borthwick. Samara from Ross High came to join us on Monday also.
We moved seats on Monday and we are all happy with our new teams!
On Tuesday we learned the fruits with Mrs Johnson in French. At the end of French Mrs Johnson let us do songs for 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
On Wednesday we wrote imaginative stories that linked to Halloween. Hannah’s story was about a big spooky Halloween story. Our star writers were…Finlay C and Jack.
On Wednesday afternoon we had our Halloween party and we would like to say THANK YOU to the parent council for our party.
On Thursday we made pumpkins using orange paper and a paper plate. Here’s a picture of our pumpkins!
On Monday we had music and we got to use wood blocks to make music. Heidi thought it was really fun and exciting!
On Tuesday we had assembly and the P6’s were doing their assembly and it was brilliant!
On Wednesday we made Rice Krispie cakes to help us to write instructions. We got to make 2 each and take them home.
On Thursday when we were at swimming the swimming teacher asked Abbie and Charlie to swim without a float.
On Thursday we also used oil pastels to create a sunset. Finlay thought they were beautiful. Here’s some of our sunsets:
