Friday 18th January

This morning some of the children helped to make delicious flapjacks. The ingredients were oats, sugar, butter, raisins, apricots and lots of syrup!

It’s gooey, I know all the ingredients – James

I helped stir – Josh

I didn’t like them, too chewy – Lucas

Great! – Grace

We worked hard in the gym hall, we played Heads, Shoulders, Knees and toes in Scots and we danced to Scottish music. We listed really well and had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to celebrating Rabbie Burns birthday next week.

This week the children have been exploring the past, looking at photos of Rabbie Burns. We have discussed pictures of the house he was born in and thought about how different it looked to our houses. We have designed our own tartan and investigated 2D shapes. The children have also created super 3D models which are displayed in nursery.

Have a super weekend and see you on Monday,

Mrs Taylor

Friday 11th January

Happy New Year to you all and welcome back to nursery. Hope you all had a super Christmas and holiday. Many thanks for all the lovely cards and gifts we received.

We have enjoyed a busy week and the children have returned to nursery ready for the new term.

Lovely to see you all again,

Mrs Taylor

Thursday 21st December

A huge well done to all the Nursery children for their hard work and confidence in all the performances of ‘The Magical Christmas Jigsaw’. The Nursery staff are so proud of you all. it was a tricky song to learn but you did so well. We have had lots of super feedback from the audience. A Granny of a P.5 pupil phoned Stoneyhill to say well done to everyone and especially well done to the Nursery children, she said “they stole the show!”

That was great, I want to do it again – Mia and Peter

A very Merry Christmas to you all, thanks for all the fun and hard work.

See you in 2013!

Mrs Taylor
