Friday 23rd May

Some of us went to Meadowbank for the athletics competition. We came 4th in the medium schools competition. Everyone did really well and should be really proud of themselves.

We are practising for our assembly next week. We hope you can all make it!

We started new BOSS clubs today. There is athletics, orienteering, loom bands, activities, football, baking, sports, basketball, nature art and music and drama games for the infants.

We have been working really hard in drama with Shona. In the story Sarah got married to Jack M and we all went to the wedding. We have been playing different games and hearing stories about the sea. We are rehearsing for the Queens Baton performance.

In art we have been making pictures about African landscapes and we have been painting silhouettes.

 

 

 

Friday 9th May

We have been learning about African art. We have been sketching and painting.

We finished BOSS clubs today. We have really enjoyed them.

We talked about Meadowbank athletics today and we are going to find out who is going by the end of Monday. Remember to bring in your P.E kit!

We had singing practice this morning and we learnt a new song called ‘We are going on a Journey’.

We have been finding out about African music. We have been listening to  African music and learning about the different instruments they use.

In Maths we have been learning about fractions. We have been simplifying fractions and looking at improper fractions.

Hello Primary 6!

I am really looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow. Don’t forget to bring your pencil cases, water bottles and lunch boxes or lunch money!
