Tuesday 21st November

We have two new stories for you this week!

Amazing African Drumming and Dancing!

On Tuesday 21st November there was amazing African drumming and dancing at Stoneyhill Primary School.

Adi and Thomas who have been dancing for 26 years put on an astonishing performance for the whole school. Primary 5, 6 and 6/7 have been learning some dance and drum patterns to Ghanaian songs. Primary 5 performed Shiko and Primaries 6 and 6/7 preformed Kpanlogo .They practised hard for weeks and we’ve heard from P6/7 that it was the “best visit ever!” Jessica, who was in the performance, said her hands hurt from hitting the drum but it was fun.

Some people from the audience said:

“It was excellent.” Said Aine from P2/3

“It was fantastic,” said Oliver, P3/4, “my favourite part was when they all got up and danced.”

Well done to everyone involved! We hope you enjoyed our news!
