‘These are our bairns’ – looking back

In November 2009 Musselburgh & Inveresk community council organised a conference for community activists to discuss what more communities could do to support improved health in the early years.

¬†They arranged for Dr Harry Burns, Chief Medical Officer, & Don Ledingham Director of Education and Children’s services to speak to an audience of community activists. Susan Deacon facilitated table discussion following the presentations. A video of the presentation was taken and this is linked below. The message is still as fresh today a year and a half later – justifying the community councils aim in making the video – to provide a wider audience the opportunity to hear the inspirational presentation than could be there on the day.
