Launch of our new Burgh Pantry
We are delighted to finally be able to announce the launch of our new Burgh Pantry.
Supported by funding from the Musselburgh Area Partnership, our Pantry will offer non-perishable tinned and packaged foods, as well as personal hygiene and non-food products, free of charge to the members of our school community who need it most.
Currently over 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK and, with the cost of living crisis continuing to impact many families across Scotland, the need for foodbanks is increasing. At the Burgh, we are determined to keep doing our bit to reduce the cost of the school day and to support our families with the things that matter most.
The Burgh Pantry will be open from Tuesday 12 September and will be accessible to families in our Family Room within the TU in the playground. Families can make use of the Burgh Pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2.45–3.30pm, and Fridays from 12.15–1.00pm.
