This years Spring Event will take the form of a Treasure Hunt for Nursery to P3 children and their families.  It will take place in the School grounds from 6pm till 7:30pm and snacks and refreshments will be available.

Look out for more details of this new and exciting event coming soon!

First Impression Count!

The newly formed First Impressions Group are currently in the process of putting together a list of tasks that could be tackled by volunteers. Jobs like painting and gardening will be considered, the plan being to choose some dates in Spring for people to get involved and come in and help. The more the merrier!

Summer Fair and Sponsored Walk – Friday 3rd June 2011

Picking up on suggestions put forward from parents, and after discussions with the school, the Summer Fair is going to follow a slightly different format this year:

  • It will take place on a FRIDAY – 3rd June – and be run in partnership with the whole school community – pupils, staff and parents will all be involved.
  • The morning will also see a sponsored walk taking place from the school.

Pop this date in your diaries for now – more details will follow!

If you have any ideas or suggestions for this event, or could help in any way, please talk to a Class Rep. Even better, please come along to a get-together on Thursday 3rd March at 7.00pm in the school staff room, where this event will be discussed, along with the Spring Treasure Hunt.

After the very successful launch event  in November, the school library is now up and running, and being thoroughly enjoyed by the children. We would dearly love some more parents/carers to consider sparing some time to help in the library – as a lunch-time librarian, or to help tidy and sort the books for a short period each week. If you would like to volunteer or find out more, please contact Fleur Hoole.

Auditor Required

We are very grateful to Mrs Betty Ford for performing the annual audit of the BSC accounts for the past several years. Mrs Ford has now stepped down and we are seeking someone to take up this role.  This may be someone from the school community or beyond. It is a reasonably straightforward task, but some accounting experience would be useful. If you are interested or would like some further info, please inform the school office or speak with your class rep.
