Musselburgh Burgh Primary School is a non-denominational, co-educational primary school situated in the East Lothian town of Musselburgh, approximately six miles from the centre of Edinburgh. The school serves the central area of the town, including the Fisherrow area and the historic village of Inveresk.

The school opened in 1965 and combined pupils from the former Burgh and Fisherrow Primary Schools. The school has bright, spacious classrooms and benefits from three large halls. There is a tarmac playground which has been much improved over recent years and an all-weather football pitch.

The current school roll for Session 2013/14 is 312. At present there are 12 mainstream classes in the school, in addition to the nursery class, which caters for 40 children in the morning and 40 in the afternoon. There is also a Communication Provision class catering for 5 children.

The school staffing consists of the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, 2 Principal Teachers, 1 Acting Principal Teacher (Support for Learning/Communication Provision), 10 mainstream class teachers, 1 CP class teacher, 3 FTE Nursery Nurses and 6 ASN Auxiliaries.
This session there are Specialist teachers for Music, Physical Education and Art. In addition, tuition is offered in violin and cello.
There is a very supportive School Council.
