What is the Parent Council?

The Burgh Parent Council is a group of Parents, Carers and family members of children who attend our school.

Our aim is to work in partnership with the school whilst representing the views of parents and carers.  We also aim to initiate, develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of pupils.

Our current office bearers are

  • Chairperson – Michelle Peet
  • Vice Chairperson – Sally Olds
  • Treasurer – Jacquie Molloy
  • Clerk – Stella Hervey Birrell

We are also made up of a maximum of 2 representatives from each class, a list of class reps can be found in the who’s who section on the school website and on our Musselburgh Burgh Parent Council Facebook page.   You don’t have to be a class rep to get involved in the parent council, anyone can attend and contribute at meetings or by contacting us directly.

We also have an Events Committee sub group, this is used to plan and organise events such as our Halloween Party, School Movie Nights and Christmas Fair.

If you are interested in being part of the parent council or the events committee please email us at parentcouncil@musselburghburgh.elcschool.org.uk and we will add you to the email list.
