Only a few short days to go until the holidays and we sadly say good-bye to our three wonderful primary 7s. Everyone at Sanderson’s Wynd and The Hub wish Amina, Daniel and Stephen all the very best and we’re sure they’ll have lots of fun (and learn lots too!) at High School! Good Luck!
It’s been a busy couple of months in the Senior class. The 7s have continued to visit Ross High every week as part of their transition programme but the whole class have been busy both in and out of school. Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to lately!
In May we visited Butterfly World and you can see learn more about our visit here. Our topic this term was the Rainforest and our trip helped us to feel and see what a rainforest was like. We also had lots of fun learning about the different creepy crawlies, plants and animals which live in the rainforest. We also did a little bit of work on people and homes in the rainforest. We learned that native rainforest people sometimes paint their faces and bodies and wear very colourful clothing – we tried it out ourselves and had lots of fun!
This month we’ve been making a global link with a special school in Melbourne, Monash Special Development School. We have been learning about Scotland and Australia and have been making and doing things to put in a box to send to the children!
We also had our end of year trip to Kids Out at the Jack Kane Centre in Edinburgh. We had a day filled with fun, bouncy castles, ice cream and dancing!
