We are nearly ready for the Summer holidays and an end to another very busy year.
Our final topic of the year has been Minibeasts.
We have been learning about all the different beasties that we can find in our local environment. We enjoyed going out into the courtyard and around school for bug hunts to see what we could catch.
We made some beautiful artwork including butterfly prints and stained glass (tissue!) windows which look really pretty on a sunny day.
We invited Roger the Ranger in to help us have a root through our log pile to see what we could find. We have had a visit from The Animal Man who took some small animals and some more exotic beasties in for us to touch, see and handle if we were brave enough!
We finished off our topic by visiting the Edinburgh Butterfly World. It was very warm in the jungle and we saw lots of the butterflies, caterpillars and spiders we had been learning about in the classroom. We had a great time! Have a look below. [nggallery id=41]
